These original Bhutanese Lungta prayer flags which translate to “wind horse” are meant to bring you luck, longevity, prosperity and happiness every time the wind stroke them.

These prayer flags are printed in a traditional way with the deities of Tibetan Buddhism on five beautiful vivid colors representing the five elements- earth, air, water, fire and space.. The traditional method consist of using wooden blocks to print the drawings and texts on the prayer flags. The prayer flags contain the images and prayers relating to: Mantra of Victory, White Tara, Guru Rinpoche, Green Tara and a lungta (wind horse).

The raising of flags during important events is one of the many customs practiced in order to attract luck.The order in which the five colors follow one another is always the same: blue, white, red, green and yellow. In Bhutan, the flags are hoisted on auspicious days when the stars are in a favorable position according to the Tibetan almanac.
