A meticulously crafted hand spinning prayer wheel featuring auspicious symbols, and mantras firmly placed on a wooden handle. This brass-made wheel of Dharma is hand-crafted with explicit detailing and adds deeper significance to your daily prayers. On the outside, Om Mani Padme Hum is carved on both the upper and lower sides of the prayer wheel, along with eight auspicious symbols between the mantras. Inside are scrolls containing mantras and prayers, which multiply with each turn.
Prayer or Mani wheels are cylindrical wheels mounted on a spindle so they can be easily spun. They are often found in temples or monasteries. Scrolls holding mantras and prayers are inside the wheel. It is believed that those who rotate the prayer wheels can gain much the same meritorious effects as those who recite the mantras orally. The Buddhist practitioners spin the wheel clockwise, as the direction in which the mantras are written is that of the sun’s movement. Prayer wheels are believed to purify a soul and accumulate incredible merit as they are turned.
