The prayers wheels is ubiquitous in Bhutan. The cylindrical wheel ranges from hand-held to huge powered wheel which are filled with prayers mantras. Monks and devotees spin the wheel to multiply the number of prayers they expressed by millions. Buddhist also believes that by spinning the wheel, it helps to concentrate the mind on the mantras and the prayers they are reciting.
The Mani wheels (handheld) are used when one walks around places like monasteries and chortens (a religious structure containing Buddhist relics).
