Despite the name, Buckwheat is not a wheat (grass family) or cereal but a seed from a flowering plant related to Rhubarb. Full of healthy and easily digestible proteins, buckwheat is non-allergenic, and is known for its mild and earthy flavor.

For whole meals wash the groats in cold water and add water to the ratio 1:1 cook or teams for about 20 minutes till tender. Once cooked fluff it up with a fork. Serve with any dishes as a side.
