The red Evening Incense stick is crafted by the famous Nado Poizokhang factory – the leading incense maker in Bhutan. Handmade with special care in their workshop, It contains a blend of about 100 precious elements, all organic and mostly forage at high altitudes in the forest of Bhutan.
This Genuine Bhutanese Incense is designed especially for Riwo Sangchoe and Surzey offerings. It is made in strict accordance with the practice texts.
Many of these ingredients grow at more than 4000 m in the Himalayas. Collecting is undertaken by yak herders as they move their herds up and down the mountains searching for summer and winter pastures as well as families who live permanently high in the remote Himalayas.
It is believed that offering these incense sticks invites divine beings to bestow blessings on beings and the environment. It also pacifies unseen obstacle makers. Burning this incense is therefore an excellent way to invoke blessings and purify obstacles.

This family business is now providing employment for 15 poor, uneducated, and underprivileged people. They work closely with the Community Based Sustainable Management of Medicinal Plants Project that educates collectors on the sustainable collection and cultivation of the natural products that they use.
