A beautiful cane and bamboo baskets locally called “Zepchu”, perfect as a decoration and storage solution. Traditionally, it was used as a horse pack for long journeys. Nowadays it has gained popularity amongst tour operators in transporting camping equipment and edible items for tourists. It is made sturdy enough to withstand falls and jolts.
Bhutanese artisans have practiced the thirteen different types of arts and crafts popularly known as Zorig Chusum since the 17th century. From those thirteen crafts, the Kheng region is known for the art of Tsharzo, the art of bamboo, and cane weaving.
