Accuracy of Information
Taste of Bhutan attempts to ensure that information on the Website is complete, accurate and current. Despite our efforts, the information on the Website may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. We make no representation as to the completeness, accuracy, or recentness of any information on the Website. For example, products included on the Website may be unavailable, may have different attributes than those listed, or may carry a different price than that stated on the Website. In addition, we may make changes in information about price and availability without notice. While it is our practice to confirm orders by e-mail, the receipt of an e-mail order confirmation does not constitute our acceptance of an order or our confirmation of an offer to sell a product or service. We reserve the right, without prior notice, to limit the order quantity on any product or service and/or to refuse service to any customer. We also may require verification of information prior to the acceptance and/or shipment of any order.
Fee, payment, and shipping
Prices. All prices are listed in USD and include Bhutanese Taxes. We recommend checking the current exchange rate against your home currency to get the best idea of what you will be charged.
Payments. The Site currently uses a third party (Paypal) to process payments. Our third-party payment processors accept payments through Paypal and various credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, as detailed on the applicable payment screen.
Order Acceptance. When you place an order on the Site, verification of information may be required prior to the acceptance of the order. Prices and availability of products on the Sites are subject to change. Taste of Bhutan reserves the right to revoke any stated offer and to correct any error, inaccuracy, or omission. Taste of Bhutan reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse or cancel any order for any reason, in which case you will be informed by email and payment will be refunded.
Shipping and estimated delivery times
When you place an order for Products through the Site, the Products will be shipped to the address you designate as the “Shipping Address” during the check-out process. We ship globally across various carriers with tracking information provided at the time of shipment. Estimated shipping times are between 4 to 14 days. Please note that these are only estimated shipping times and are subject to the availability of products and/or manufacturer’s availability.
If a product you have ordered is out of stock or on backorder, we will contact you with a new shipment date. At that time, you can decide to either keep the order as-is or cancel the item. We will do our best to keep you updated on issues that arise due to any backup in production. If there is a problem, we will alert you as soon as we are made aware that a problem exists. Please note that all international customers are responsible for any taxes, import duties or custom brokerage fees associated with their shipment. Additional charges are the responsibility of the recipient because we have no control over these government-imposed charges and cannot determine what they may be. Customs policies vary greatly among countries. We suggest contacting your local customs office for local requirements and information.
To avoid a delay in receiving your order from customs, consider the following:
Provide us with a phone number where you can be reached by customs when your product arrives. This phone number will be listed on the commercial invoice so customs can reach you to clear your order. Please do not refuse a shipment or ignore requests from carriers regarding duty and/or tax liability charges. Be aware that most carriers will hold a shipment for 5 to 10 days after arrival in your country before they return it to the sender. We do not refund original shipping charges for goods that are refused for delivery at customs.

To qualify for free shipping:
– The value of your cart must be equal to or superior to US$ 250 before the shipping fee
-The shipping destination must be covered by EMS Shipping. As of the 13th of July, the following countries are not covered by EMS shipping and free shipping can’t be offered in these locations: Belarus, Cameroon, Finland, Isreal, Italy, Lao PDR, Madagascar, and Pakistan.
-Free Shipping orders can’t be refunded or returned.
Refunds and returns;
warranty; defects; proper use
Returns. We want you to be happy with your purchase!
You can return your items within 15 days of receiving the order for a full refund on the merchandise cost. The returned item must not be used, and must still be in the original packaging. Upon receiving and inspecting your item, we will offer you a refund or a credit for future purchases. We do not refund original shipping charges. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. You will be responsible for the return shipping charges. Specific items due to the custom nature of their fabrication process may not be eligible to return. In this case, it will be clearly mentioned on the product description page. If you purchase your product on sale, we do not accept returns
Damages. Sometimes damages occur during the shipping process even though we do our best to deliver your item in perfect condition. All damage claims must be received within 48 hours of receiving the item. Please save all packaging and email us at email@example.com to file a claim. We are happy to arrange the replacement or return of the item. Before you return an item, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with a copy of the emailed invoice that was sent to you at the time of purchase as well as pictures of the damaged product.
Textile: Variation and imperfection in weave, fibre size, colour, shad, and overall rug size (up to 3% in length and width) are normal characteristics and are not considered a manufacturing defect.
Colour note: Because every computer monitor displays colour differently, we cannot be responsible for variations between the actual product colour and how it is displayed on your screen.
Descriptions of merchandise, including colours or shades, textures, and other features are provided as accurately as possible; Taste of Bhutan assumes no liability whatsoever for the description, for variance, including in colours or textures, minor imperfections, and/or for a product not meeting with customer satisfaction, absent a manufacturer-verified defect.
Credit Cards. In the event of a disputed credit card charge, which is ultimately found to have been legitimate or which otherwise finds, in whole or in part, in favour of Taste of Bhutan, the customer shall be responsible for all attorneys’ fees and costs borne by Taste of Bhutan. The terms of any purchase from or dispute with Taste of Bhutan shall be governed by Bhutanese law, and any litigation arising out of such dispute shall be brought in Bhutan.
Proper use. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Taste of Bhutan disclaims all liability or injury arising from or in connection with: (a) a Product’s failure due to any defect or malfunction that is caused as a result of a Product’s misuse, (b) your failure to follow operating instructions (c) use of a Product with improper or faulty equipment, (d) negligence in connection with your use of a Product, (e) wear-and-tear from use of the Product over time, or (f) any device or element of a Product made by anyone other than Taste of Bhutan and its partners/suppliers.
Gift and offer codes
From time to time, Taste of Bhutan may offer qualified consumers “gift codes” or “offer codes” through a variety of promotional activities and communications (collectively referred to herein as “offer codes”) that are redeemable towards a purchase on tasteofbhutan.com, while supplies last, and subject to certain merchandise exclusions or any other restrictions as may be determined and communicated by Taste of Bhutan in its sole discretion. Only valid offer codes provided or promoted by Taste of Bhutan will be honoured at checkout. Codes supplied or promoted by third parties unauthorized by Taste of Bhutan (including any unauthorized third-party websites) will not be considered valid. Each offer code promoted by Taste of Bhutan is non-transferable and valid for single use on an item (or items) of merchandise as determined by Taste of Bhutan. Offer codes may not be combined. Offer codes cannot be used towards the purchase of non-branded merchandise, packaging, or applicable taxes. For online purchases, the code must be entered in the field at checkout. Offer codes cannot be redeemed for cash or any cash equivalent; no substitutions or credits are allowed. The dollar value of any offer code will not be refunded or credited back if any or all of the merchandise is returned. Expiry dates may apply to each offer code. Offer codes are void if copied, transferred, sold, exchanged or expired, and where prohibited. Requests not complying with all offer code requirements will not be honoured.
